With Hart and Jake at mine after good ole Ng Ah Sio BKT on a rainy day.
Fresh off the bottle with no decant.

In the glass: bright ruby, light bodied.
On the nose, big waft of barnyard funk. Sweet strawberry but very closed because it was still cold from the fridge. As the wine warmed up and breathed, the funk receded, and emerged raspberry on exhale, cherry. Over time, a very very distinct glycerin / weak minerality emerged. This became the dominant note alongside strawberry
On the palate: I was pleased. The last bottle I brought to Sean was disappointing. For some reason, it was very dry, with a curt short finish. This is my third bottle and was closer to the first I tried: off dry, mid acidity, mid finish, very light body. Low alcohol. Slight mushroom on exhale.
When purchased for under $100 on sale, this was a delightful casual drink. That said, there seems to be some inter-bottle variations, so something to watch out for.
For fun: see below for the immense amount of tartaric acid crystal residue at the end of the pour 🙂
