With Hart and the wine hoes.
This was the youngest Cos I’ve had to date, and still a baby; almost entirely primary. I also completely forgot to uncork the wine before dinner. Ended up doing a quick 2-3 mins doubt decant at 630. Drank at about 9pm.

On the glass: deep dark inky ruby.
On the nose: nose was a touch shy initially. The usual deep savory herbal notes, mixed with blackcurrant. Mild aromatic oak at the background (I always find that CosD does such a great job at achieving oak balance..). Thankfully with time in the glass, the fruits sorta thickened up. Touch of pyrazine. This was still very very primary, and haven’t quite developed that degree of complexity and iron tinge that I love.
Palate: mid body, but very high intensity of black and red fruits. Mid-ish acidity. Dry. Palate coating and fresh.
I think the experiment worked out. It is drinking fairly well, but still needs some years to build up that crazy savory complexity I love about their wines. If the 2008 can get there, I’m sure this 2014 will too.
