With the Ohanas at Zi’s for the annual CNY gathering.
I was surprised at how much I liked this wine. And even more surprised at how affordable this is.

On the nose: this had a very burgundian characteristics to it, with that earthy barnyard nose that remained persistent even with plenty of air. Minerality. Sour cherry.
On the palate: felt like low alcohol to me. Just a touch of residual sugar which was very desirable in this context. Plenty of fruits on the exhale that lingered. Mid finish. The only thing that left me a little apprehensive about it was that the acidity was extremely high and felt a touch off balance with the rest of the wine. Could be fantastic with food.
