I’ve at this before. Without sufficient aeration, this wine has an intense attractive nose, but very aggressive tannins. It’s simply too too young.
This time round, we had 2.5 hours of aeration.

In the glass: inky purple. Such high extraction and concentration that the legs strained the glass.
On the nose: oak. Intense blueberries and blackcurrant. HIGH alcohol.
On the palate: GRIPPY tannins. That said, the long aeration made a huge difference. It’s still very grippy but is at least palatable. Full bodied. Alcohol at 15% was just too much for me.
With time, this could be a very powerful and seductive wine. But it would need at least 5-10 years to get that. It does have the concentration of fruit to get there though!
