With Hart at F1 watch party.

OH SHIT. This is SO beautiful??
The wine came at the recommendation of Grand Cru’s somm. I explained I was tryna learn more about burgs and asked for reccs. She said this was well made, and very easy to enjoy. Spot on.

In the glass: this is interesting a garnet with purple hue. Light body that’s very see-through. Clear.

On the nose: fresh of the bottle, this was already a beautiful expressive bouquet. That very distinct Burgundian funk that dissipates over time. Black current like Ribena, raspberry and cherries. White pepper at the background. Some sorta savory herbal notes. Definitely sweet. As the wine breathed, it opened up and intensified. But this was truly enjoyable fresh off the bottle. Zero stemminess that’s characteristic of many burg – I assume that this did not go through whole stem fermentation.

On the palate: oh wow. Silky silky smooth body. Light bodied. Midish acidity. Soft but present tannins. Touch of residual sugar. Beautiful pure red fruits on exhale.

This was SUPER pretty, just beautiful right off the bottle and got gradually better over time. And the best part? It’s probably only in the 110 to 120 range. So good.
