I didn’t know much about it, but this was a multi-99 pointer that’s been suggested to be one of the greatest Ornellaia made. Brandon said Ornellaia is the Balenciaga of Super Tuscans. Wow, harsh. 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot.

In any case, I WAS BLESSED BY THE WINE GODS. I took the bottle out and it was unrecognizable to me. My first thought was wtf is this wine? See slide 2 for the usual label.

Turns out, the winery commissioned an artist to design a special label for some of their magnums, AND for every case of 750ml bottle, there is a SINGLE bottle with the special label. Just for surprise.
