With the wine hoes at mine.

Ah, we meet again! I first tasted the 2010 and 2015 at the Grand Cru wine fair a few years ago. The wines were delicious, and we got majorly ripped off buying from them. Haha. I liked the 2010 while Hart picked the 2015.

In the glass: dark ruby with tinge of purple. Medium bodied.

On the nose: fresh off the bottle with a vinturi, the nose was closed and shy, but immediately complex. It’s rich and deep red and black fruits. Earthy truffles, blackcurrants, oak, tiny bits of red plum. As the wine breathed with aggressive swirling in the glass: the fruits leaned out from the initial muddy mass, to become more distinct. Emergence of leather and pencil shavings.

On the palate: tannins are surprisingly well resolved. Still grippy on initial entry but softens very quickly on the palate. Mid+ acidity, long finish. Medium bodied.

I got ripped off at Grand Cru when we paid $220/btl. But these can be easily found for $148-168 on other websites now. For the quality? This vintage is an absolute buy. The overall composition of the wine is also muuuch more compatible with my palate, after the prior 2 nukes
