This was one of the surprise discovery from one of the wine nights. Shaun had brought the 2012, and it was delicious. Intensely aromatic, with a beautiful leaness to it, despite a very mediocre vintage. The only flaw was the slightly unbalanced high alcohol. Nonetheless, just an impressive wine (and exceptional value and quality) for a chateau that only got upgraded to Premier GCC in 2012.
The 2020 is a phenomenally highly rated vintage, so I’m super super hopeful. I guess I can’t touch this for a good 10-15 years, but I can imagine this is going to be a beauty.
