Dinner hosted by the Kums, with advisors and investors at Jade Palace.

Holy. SHIT. What a MAGNIFICENT wine.

It’s no surprise I’ve not been a fan of white burgs (aside from Chablis). I don’t get the malo buttery hyper reductive bleargh.

But my god, this is the white burg that dragged and tipped me over the edge.

In the glass: generic paaaale yellow. Clear.

On the nose: distinct reduction just ~floating~ in the background. Tiny honey. Green apple. Lemons. FLOOOWERS. Tiny buttery notes also just ~floating~ in the background.

But the magic is when the nose combines with the palate. My gosh.

On the palate: siiiiilky silky smooth body that spreads across the palate. That INSANELY balanced bright acidity (less laser, more like bright glow) that works in absolute perfect unison with the reductive notes and butter and that silky body. It’s sublimely balanced, exciting, pretty. NOT cloying or clumsy.

What a goddamn good wine. This made my eyes glow.
