With the crew at Dani and Rumi’s birthday dinner.
Wine from James.

In the glass: light body, bright ruby, clear.

On the nose: just pure red fruits, mostly a sweet candied cherry and strawberry candy. A tinge of minerality. Tiny bits of freshly cut grass.

On the palate: there’s a certain roundness and juiciness to the wine. I’m not entirely sure which vintage this was, but it tastes extremely ripe. Surprisingly, mid acidity only.

Mild spice on exhale.

I liked the wine. It’s one of those that’s easily a crowd pleaser. It’s juicy, ripe, round and soft. Rating is TBD… 4.0 if under a $100, might be a touch tough to pay anything more than $120.
