It’s no secret I hate Sauvignon Blanc. And I dislike most new world whites (aside from poolside vacation sipping he he he). This however, was a delicious bottle. Complex, intensely aromatic, but balanced.

In the glass: pale gold. Clear.

On the nose: fresh off the screw cap bottle, is a huge waft of sulphur that needs a bit of time to air out. But beyond that is an intensely aromatic nose of minerality, flintiness, and. Well. I don’t have the vocab to describe it. It has none of the unpleasant vegetal notes characteristic of Sauv Blanc (which I hate). There’s a certain herbaceous notes perhaps? Idk. It was complex.

On the palate: YUM. Touch of residual sugar. Mid- alcohol. Bright JUICY acidity. Siiiiilky body that almost comes across a touch oily. Mid to mid- finish.

On the exhale: a completely different aroma set. Mild malo butter, and a ton of yellow fruits that isn’t overbearing like a fruit bomb.

This. Was. Delicious. If I were to do it again, just crack open the screw cap and air this out a half hour before serving. This has so much intense aromatics, serve it cold.
