Small purchase of French wines at the sale.

Domaine de Chevalier 2020: I’ve started buying these in case. Just phenomenal wines at great prices in Singapore. Should’ve grabbed more.

Montrose 2019: this is a leap of faith. I would normally shun such bottlings in disgust – this was an obscene 14.5% abv, and COMPLETELY uncharacteristic of Montrose. BUT, for some reason, Jancis Robinson rates this an ungodly 18.5/20: this says a lot, because she abhors clumsy, and overly extracted wines. This is purely a leap of faith, and a bet on Montrose’s winemaking team.

Beaucastel CDP 2007: To me, Beaucastel makes benchmark CDPs. Rich, yet with a leanness and superb balance. The 2007 is extremely highly rated, and is in prime drinking window. This, I’m dying to drink.
