HM. I was expecting to receive a bottling of E Pira’s blended Barolo, but received this due to some error of sorts. Oh well. I find that buying plot-specific Barolos are always a gamble, unless you have a lot of money to blow / experiment, or you are keenly familiar with the characteristics of each plot. I guess I will only find out if I like this in…. 10?? 15 years??

The Barbaresco is a repurchase after the very excellent tasting. Given the sheer amount of fruits, acidity and structure, I just want to see how far we can push this.
