There are very very very few people who can convince me to enthusiastically try out new world wines, and Hart captured here in this batch.
The Dry River is a follow up to the last tasting at Brandon’s. Delicious. Bright. Aromatic. Christmas spices.
The Alkina Syrah is… look you would almost have to twist my arm to drink most Aussie Syrah. But a Syrah from Barossa Valley? Absolutely not. Except the winemakers claimed to be precisely going against the typical Barossa Valley style of winemaking, and are vehemently against over extraction and over oaking. Anyway, Brandon seemed to believe them, so I believe them. We also have their Polygon no.3 Grenache somewhere in my fridge but I’m too lazy to photograph it.
The Aubert SV Vineyard Pinot noir was a semi gift from BSG. More specifically it was leftover from dinner, and I got to keep it (heheheheheh). This is supposed to be a cult Pinot, remarkably intense and pretty.
