I’m a sucker for sentimentality. This was our wedding wine at Claudine.

Bought 2 cases of this upon confirmation of our wedding wine. This specific case has been sitting untouched in a large distributor’s long term storage facility in Europe, which used to be a nuclear bunker.

The other case is from another one of their long term storage facility in Bordeaux.

Seemed like it would be quite charming to have this every anniversary. Pity though – having drank this numerous times now, I don’t quite have the confidence that this is a wine that can go beyond 15-20 years. Otherwise I would be hoarding like a mad man.

Too bad I couldn’t afford to have some monster first growths at the wedding 😭

It was a blast cracking open the case for the first time in a decade, and wiping away all the dust/mold/who knows what other funky matters. Also not a good idea to pry open a case in only your undies unless you wanna risk stabbing yourself (see last slide).
