Bottle from me.
The surprise of the night for me! I had been trying to find an occasion to taste this

In the glass: deep garnet / ruby, albeit mid- body.
On the nose: suuuuper pure sweet cherries, black tea, and a waft of surprisingly persistent barnyard funk that took a while to dissipate. Waft of sweet oak, but well done and beautifully balanced. There’s this floral note that I’ve always struggled with identifying, but someone previously described as violet.
On the palate: fresh, juicy, high acidity with just a touch of residual sugar that’s coherent with the nose. Comparably tannic to the Brunello. Just pure red fruits on the palate.
Man this was so good, and caught me a little off guard esp given the pricing. A damn bloody good Chianti
