With Hart at Odette for our anniversary.

I’ve had many delicious Rieslings, but this is my first Keller. What a spectacular wine. Took my first sip and my first thought was “ohh…. I get it now”.

Vines from the perimeter of the Abtserde parcel.

In the glass: just pale gold. Clear.

On the nose: a little shy, floral dominant. But on the exhale, man. This blend of citrus, stone fruits, minerality and white flowers in this tiiiight and just delicate tension. It’s kinda hard to explain it, but the way it lingers.

On the palate: my gosh. Just so silky and chalky it almost came across a little oily. Mid+ acidity instead of high, a tiny zip at the tip of the tongue. Mid+ intensity. Just the tiniest splash of residual sugar. Low alcohol.

Damn this was good. Delicious with the slightly salty caviar, and that rich sauce.
