With Hart at the Crystal Wine tasting

In the glass: pure bright ruby, with just the tiniest flash of garnet at the rim.

On the nose: distinct tertiary development with dense mushroom, deep earthy barnyard funk. Blackcurrant. Blueberries. Lotsa leather. Cedar on exhale.

On the palate: unfortunately, this was a wine that has gotten really tired. There’s a flatness to the palate, and a finish that drops off quite abruptly.

Marked down, given the price on this bottle.
