What the heck. This was so good??? I’ve never seen this wine before but this was the wine of the night for me.

In the glass: deep ruby. Mid body.

On the nose: this is daaark dense black cherries. Blackberries. This savory spiced note. This faint stemmy-spice at what I would consider just the right level – enough to give it an aromatic lift, but not assaulting the nose. Minerality. Sweet. A nearly old world wet forest tone.

On the palate: sealed the deal for me. This is not one of the Oregon Pinots with stunning nose and flat acidity. The acidity here is mid++, super juicy. High concentration on the palate. Palate coating. Mid++ finish. Touch of Oak on the exhale.

This was a damn good Oregon Pinot. Or just a damn good Pinot period. Well done.
