With Hart, YZ, Sloke, Sean and Tabs at mine.
Bottle from me.

So. Two bad bottles in one evening. Both 1995, but completely different regions. At that point of the night, we needed something to turn the tide around.

Enters this bottle. 2006 isn’t a great vintage, but this was a delicious bottle at what I would consider the perfect drinking window.

In the glass: rich bright ruby. Surprisingly lighter bodied than most other vintages.

On the nose: ah, what a pleaaaaasurable balance of dense tertiary funk, and rich blackcurrant and blackberries. This is my sweet spot. The oak has now melded into this rich jam. A very savory and exotic note that’s distinctly Cos. A surprising touch of cocoa. Rich leather.

On the palate: a very good concentration of fruits. Body confirmed to be medium, with mid+ acidity. Finish was mid+, and tannins were well resolved.

I’m glad I decided to bust this fella out. Rescued the night.
Cos is just always magic.
