With Hart at the fantastic Mapu.
Served alongside the NZ Chardonnay
What a Chablis! Intense, electric, yet somehow rich.

In the glass: an unusually pale wine. Just the faintest tone of straw. Clear.
On the nose: ripe yellow fruits. Citrus. Stone fruits. Pear-ish. Sweet, and super minerally. I feel like there’s oak but it’s faint. Becomes floral with tones of white flowers with air.
On the palate: zinger. This is a silkiness and richness on the palate. High intensity of fruit, but with this electric brightness and energy. Super enjoyable. Literally mouth watering.
Very green apple on the exhale, with this sweet aromatic oak in the background.
Damn good wine.
Served with this fat white fish cooked on the grill, with this ridiculous sauce and pine needles. Nuts.
