I enjoy Chablis. This was fresh, although interestingly enough, the nose took quite a while to open up, and the color deepened after quite extensive breathing and warming up. Honey, lemon, mild citrus. Not quite the crispy jolt in the nose as I always expect. On the palette: slightly muted, but mid acidity, minerality, dryness, and mid finish.

There was a touch of mold on the cork when I removed the seal, but on close inspection after removing the cork, there was no visible contamination in contact with the wine. In any case, the wine didn’t taste corked or anything at all. Felt to me like the wine might’ve been a touch “tired” – perhaps better when drunk a little younger. Who knows? It wasn’t a bad wine by any stretch at all.
