4.7. Chateau Montrose 2003.

With Hart, Ben, SM, BSG and M. God fucking dammit. This was a DAMN good wine. On the nose: black fruits, mocha / chocolate, some spices. Muscular. Penetrative. Very focused. Bear in mind: even with minimal aeration, it was a wine whose nose was DYING to burst out. With sufficient aeration, wide round nose that lingered. On the palette: dry. High acidity. Red fruits. Mid to long finish. Tannin was grippy and could afford to soften over some 5 years or so. Tobacco and leather on exhale. Mid to long finish. Just a beautiful and elegant St Estephe.
