With Hart and the ROM + birthday celebration folks at La Cabane.

What a charming little wine. I’m pretty sure we’ve had this before but I couldn’t remember where for the life of me.

On the nose: delicate sweet red fruits, with a tinge of funk and high minerality. With more breathing, a distinct earthiness and hay emerged, while retaining that bright cherry / cranberry waft. On the palette: touch of alcohol (higher than 13% I’m guessing?), HIIGH crispy acidity, light body, mid finish, just nice bright red fruits. Low tannins, with just a tight little chew at the end.

What a delicious little Beaujolais, great for casual drinking and with light food.
