I’ve been peeking into beaujolais recently after some fantastic experiences. Decided to lean on the somm for some reccs.

We didn’t quite land on the Morgon style.
Fresh of the bottle, hints of red fruit but nose was super closed. On the palette and exhale, minerality, mid acidity, mid finish, and the surprise: a mid body that was quite a bit fuller than I had expected.

I was initially a touch disappointed, but thankfully the nose opened up considerable 30 mins in and developed more weight to it.

Enjoyable and delicate, really. Although probably not something I would feel compelled to seek out
