Wine was courtesy of Jake.

Left it unrated because we had a tiny pour of this wine from the leftover of a coravined bottle. Not much aeration to speak of.

In the glass: dark maroon. Deep, concentrated and opaque.

On the nose: densely aromatic, pure blackberries upfront with a layer of plums at the background. Oak, vanilla, and mild cedar.

On the palate: mid bodied, with distinct tannins and Midish acidity. Didn’t get a large enough pour to fully assess the finish.

With what I had, this was quite delicious. Still super young with pure primary and secondary notes. Certainly has the fruits to age quite a bit longer.
