At Ben Fatto with large EDB folks
Wine from GY.

In the glass: deep rich ruby. Quite extracted. Semi-translucent.

On the nose: quite a fair bit going on. Ripe and sweet red fruits, of cherries and some strawberries, mixed with maybe some sorta blackberries? There is a very distinct stemminess; I wonder if there is a fair bit of whole stem fermentation. Mild savory/irony notes? A big whallop of oak for sure: sweet and mild but very distinct.

On the palate: residual sugar, mild residual sugar, mid+ acidity. Fair degree of concentration.

I liked the wine! A little too ripe for me, but still enjoyable.
