Moreau-Naudet Chablis 2022.

We were in the midst of the pastas, and were itching for a third white. This Chablis won the battle against a Chenin Blanc.

In the glass: pale hay. Clear.

On the nose: citrus, apples, faint stone fruit, mild minerality. Pretty aromatic nose, but nowhere the intensity of the earlier Greco.

On the palate: the wine is a stronger performer on the palate than the nose. It is medium bodied, mid finish, and with a higher intensity of flavor than the nose suggests. Midish acidity. Slightly crispy.
Wide fresh aromatics on the exhale.

This would’ve been better as either the first or second wine.

While I generally prefer much more minerality and less ripeness on my Chablis, I really enjoyed the wine!
I’m guessing 2022 is a warmer vintage but I can’t recall for the life of me.
