At Rumi’s.

We got this bottle at a steeeeep discount.

In the glass: a deep purple maroon. Medium body.

On the nose: fresh off the bottle, this was dark fruits, with a dense barnyard funk that takes a while to dissipate in the glass. Red plums, black cherries. A delicate aromatic spice, certainly a mild degree of oak. As the wine breathed, the fruits intensified and got denser, but also developed a certain sweet glycerin note to it.

On the palate: mid- body, that surprisingly coats the palate with a mid finish. Very grippy tannins that lingers. Mid+ finish. As the wine breathed, the palate really intensified.

On the exhale, distinct but mild stemminess.

Oh, this is a baby of a wine. Despite being essentially a village wine, this has a certain intensity of fruit and structure. This is a wine that’s drunk too young, and has the legs for another few years. This has so much room to improve.
