With the crew at Dani and Rumi’s birthday dinner at Artichoke.
YUM, this was DELICIOUS.

In the glass: a sorta murky maroony garnet. Mid- body. Giant ass meniscus.
On the nose: the Munjebels were sorta famous for being an organic wine with funky ass nose. But apparently Frank has been pulling back on being a purist in recent years. In any case, this was highly aromatic fresh off the bottle. High minerality, intense red fruit, tons of cherries, wet stone.
On the palate: lightish body, very bright acidity, energetic, and super juicy. High concentration. Distinct spiciness at the end of the finish. Tannins were present, but very resolved. Elevated alcohol, but very well integrated.
On the exhale, just super aromatic and mineral.
I love the wine, and it went damn near perfectly with dinner, and could easily be a daily drinker (but muuucu better with food). Super charmed by it.
