This is a GCC 5th growth wine that I typically wouldn’t have bought. There are plenty of great Pauillac that you could probably get for just a touch more bucks.

That said, this is a very compelling bottling. 2016 was an amazing vintage, but it was hot, and many of the wines from that vintage had elevated alcohol. This specific bottling managed to maintain a wonderful 13.5%, which always piques my interest.

The good folks at @cornerstonewinesasia also happened to run an insane unreasonably good sale on it so here we are. Oh, that and because my friend Sean is always poisoning my mind.
