With Hart and the rest at mine.
Wine from Joe
This is probably the 4th or 5th time I’ve tasted this bottling, and it was the best showing to date. The secret? 2 hours of air in a decanter!!

In the glass: dark ruby with garnet tinge. Fairly high extraction, with legs that faintly stains the glass.
On the nose: oh yum. Warm blackcurrant, blackberries, plums. Just dark rich fruits. Distinct notes of sweet oak and Christmas spices + pepper. Mid+ minerality. Faint cedar. Just rich and warm.
On the palate: a palate coating, yet very linear mid+ body. Mid+ acidity. Mid+ tannins that are very palatable already despite its youth. Mid+ finish. Highly aromatic on the exhale, with both dark fruits and cedar being prominent.
Shiok. This bottling is always such a pleasure. Just gotta make sure to really let this breathe in a decanter
