I buy a lot of wines every year (understatement?). But aside from the rare treasure finds, nothing really gets me happier than my annual delivery of this wine :). I start bugging Roberto around Dec, check in every other months on the schedule, until they start taking pre-orders.

There’s a lot about this wine. The painting that changes annually (making these bottles remarkably collectible). The absolutely ridiculous ageability and sheer beauty of the wine (Brandon’s 1993 bottle is still the most hauntingly beautiful wine I’ve tasted to date). My (one-sided) association of the wine with my general friendship with Brandon and his introduction of Italian wines to me.
I hope to build an insane library of LPT.

2022 is particularly special because I had actively waited 3 years for this: I had intended to gift a birth year bottle for little Morgan. Fingers crossed her father doesn’t finish it before she gets of age (and hopefully becomes a wine drinker).
