With Hart for date night, at the super charming 8 Rodyk

This might be the youngest Brunello I’ve drank in a long time.

In the glass: a deep garnet

On the nose: this stayed shy most of the night. Black tea. VA. Sweet, not sour, cherries. Distinct oak.

On the palate: grippy tannins. A big splash of primary red fruits, berries and cherries. Touch of residual sugar. Bright acidity. Mid++ alcohol that could be better integrated.
Touch of plum, tons of oak on the exhale.

This was such a baby of a wine. Enjoyable, but rough/immature around the edges.
