With Hart, YZ, Sloke and T.
Bottle from me.

I’ve been dying to try this bottle, and it lived up to expectation. What a pretty little thing.

Cork was in perfect condition. Wine was slow oxed 1.5hrs.

In the glass: deep rich ruby, with just the tiniest hint of age around the rim. Tiny meniscus.

On the nose: a deep savory red fruits. Touch of blackberries. Mild but distinct spices. Just bright, aromatic.

On the palate: oh my. A flash of high acidity that took me completely by surprise, because of the age and growing season. Very intense red fruits. Mid- body. Intense red currant and cherries on exhale.

The thing that also threw me off a little was the WARM alcohol on exhale. Not sharp or offensive, but it was just distinctly warm on exhale despite the very modest 13.5%.

Delicious. Brane-Cantenac might be one of the best value in the left bank
