This is a BIG serious wine, and still an absolute baby
In the glass: deep dark and inky.
On the nose: this smelled like a warm vintage Pauillac. Intensely aromatic, with pure blackcurrant, graphite, touch of tobacco, and a distinct minerality. This was still almost entirely primary.
On the palate: intense, palate coating, with quite an amazing structure: touch grippy tannins that releases the tongue quickly. Mid acidity. Very very very well integrated alcohol despite the elevated 14.5%. Just bone dry; would’ve preferred if it had retained just a tiny touch of residual sugar to complement the nose.
