Whenever someone says they are bringing new world wines, I always get a little apprehensive. Even more so when it comes to Chardonnay. But this was a delicious delicious wine.

On the nose: mild flinty reduction. Malo. This delicate citrus and green apples. A touch of nuts?? Oak? I don’t rly know if the aussies do oaked chardonnays, but this has to be it, and it was done perfectly.

On the palate: silky and creamy, yet BRIGHT acidity. Fresh. Mid intensity. Long finish.

This is the anti-thesis of new world Chardonnay. So brilliant. So wonderfully balanced wine. With focaccia, burrata, and roasted pistachio? Sublime
