I’ve been doing deep research: I would like to hoard a case of their wine. I would like a young but decently aged vintage so that I’m not too far off from its drinking window. I am looking for the best quality-to-price ratio, given that the “prime vintages” have gotten far too expensive.

This has led me to the 2014. I’ve always maintained that the 2014 is a criminally underrated vintage. Sure, most 2014s don’t have the concentration of 2015 or 2016, but they’re still well-ripened, and balanced. And with about 10 years in the bottle, it’s possible to start dipping into them gradually over the next 10 years.

Gonna do a taste test, and see whether to proceed with the case.
