At Cote’s bar, wine by the glass. Off a coravined magnum.

I was disappointedly browsing through the wine by the glass, until I spotted this second from the bottom of the list. Why hello there. I was immediately interested (despite the absolutely obscene pricing), because Brandon and I have some bottles of this from another vintage, and I was curious.

In the glass: bright ruby with barely any tinge of age. Light bodied. Clear.

On the nose: oh, yum. A puuuure sweet red cherry. Some spices, incense, tiny tiny bit of licorice, and this distinct earthy tone just lingering at the background that was super pleasurable. There’s a certain depth.

On the palate:a touch of residual sugar. Grippy but fully resolved tannins. Juicy. Glowing acidity. I have to tell ya, even with ~ 20 years of age? This wine is so fresh and primary. Super energetic.

Stellar. Might be my favorite ARPEPE to date.
