With Hart et al at Tiara’s birthday lunch.

This has been sitting in my fridge for a good 2ish years, and it was finally time to bust it out.

In the glass: rich gold. Clear.

On the nose: touch of honey, but stoney-minerality dominant. Almost a little nutty? This wine really needed air, and oddly enough as it breathed and warmed in the glass, there was a little touch of reductive flintiness.

On the palate: very underwhelming initially. There was this spark of acidity at the side of the tongue, but it also had this odd, idk, flatness on the mid palate? I was displeased and was super disappointed. That said, when I finally revisited this after 2-3 glasses of champagne, this had developed well with air. That odd flatness had gone away.

Much more enjoyable with air
