Not gonna repeat a full blown review, since I’ve just had this recently. That said, this bottle was considerably younger looking that the first.

In any case, I saw that there was a dry aged duck on the menu, and decided immediately that this was the time to bust out the St Joseph. Syrah + game meats = a dream. I also figured that we were coming off a whole bunch of whites, and thought a bright lighter Syrah would’ve been perfect. I’m pleased with the choice.

That said, I don’t think I would necessarily score it as high as I did previously. I must have been in too good a mood that night. Still a damn enjoyable bottle though
