Bottle from me.

This was one of the bottles from my exploration across 2 vectors: tryna find an “Emidio Pepe alternative”, while also continuing on my exploration of Tiberio.

In the glass: deep inky purple, with super high extraction and body that stains the wine purple.

On the nose: this was extremely primary and fruit driven. Blackcurrant and deep black berries. Touch of this flowery tone. And maybe an almost Barolo-like licorice to it?

On the palate: a fair bit of tannins; grippy. Very high intensity of fruits on the palate, again mostly blackberries. Acidity was mid++ and finish was fairly long. This was a chonky boy.

Overall enjoyable, with a purity and intensity to it. Completely different style compared to Emidio Pepe. Perhaps way more fruit driven than I would’ve personally liked.
