This was so good?? WOTN for me, and a new winemaker for me!

In the glass: clearly showing its age; this was well into the garnet tones with bright orange around the rim. Mid-body.

On the nose: what a complex little thing. Super earthy, this herbal (not herbaceous) savory tone, red cherries, touch of blackberries. Theres this very perfumed character, coupled with the touch of aged funk. Also this distinct iron-y minerality nose. Gorgeous.

On the palate: suuuuper fine grained tannins that just resolved, but still giving the wine a really nice structure. Mid+ acidity. Mid++ intensity of fruits on the palate.

Man I liked this so much.
