With Hart for our anniversary at Odette.

In the glass: it’s really a lighter gold than the photo suggests.

On the nose: what an odd creature. From the glass, this was very delicate and pretty – it’s bright, citrusy, and almost coming across a touch floral. Sweet delicate stone fruit. Fresh. With a sip and on the exhale: this was just rich intense malo butteriness with an almost nutty tinge to it.

On the palate: surprisingly bright acidity, which I appreciated a lot given my general apprehension towards rich oily buttery chardonnays. High intensity on the palate, with a mid++ lingering finish.

Paired very well with that langoustine and rich sauce.
