With Hart at Odette for our Anniversary.

Our second taste of the vintage, but coming across quite different this time around.

In the glass: rich gold. Clear.

On the nose: this was intense, linear, strict and just pure salinity and minerality. Citrus, stone fruits. Oddly enough, I didn’t quite get the flintiness, nor that complex blend of orchard fruits this time around.

On the palate: spark of bright acidity jostling with this high intensity of fruit and minerality on the palate. Mid+ finish.

Muscular. Intense. Complex. Great with the lobster, but preferred it with the fish. The bitterness from the endive would’ve benefited from some touch of residual sugar from the Condrieu!
