Unfortunately, there were a couple of wines that I would’ve loved to get a case of (notably: Margaux and Ducru) but I simply ran outta budget.
Grabbed a couple of loose bottles just to round out the vintage.
The Angelus was a bit of a surprise. It seems that the Chateau is in the early years of switching its wine style from rich ripeness towards finesse and elegance, which I found compelling. Sorta reminds me of the watch industry’s long awaited return to classically sized 36mm watches. These are all good news, for a guy cursed with both a meek & wimpy palate, and a tragically tiny wrist.
