At YZ’s mega horizontal Brunello / Italian tasting.

How odd! We had the same bottling a few months back, and liked it a lot. While this was certainly a lighter and more elegant style of Brunello, that bottle had a good body and palate.

This particular bottle on this date was, meh. Even with a clean palate (first pour of the day), this was oddly thin and astringent, and never quite improved even as the bottle aired.

Nose was good and very clean though.
