At YZ’s giant Brunello x Italian tasting thing

The greater oak use is immediately obvious.

In the glass: also surprisingly light bodied. Garnet

On the nose: this similarly took plenty of time to open up. A much lusher and sweeter note of oak, going into vanilla crème. Dark cherries and plums. Low VA.

On the palate: fleshier and weightier than the non-Riserva. Tannic, but palatable. Very primary, with a ton of oak. And oh, shockingly well-integrated alcohol.
Needs more time in the bottle.
