With Hart, Brandon, QH, Jeff and Charmaine at ASIN. Bottle from our stash which we brought to dinner.
Good wine that would’ve gotten a better score, but simply not worth that sorta money.
This was also terrible at room temperature, but infinitely better when chilled.
This is exactly why I’m so obsessive with serving temperature.

In the glass: a light bodied ruby. Bright.
At room temperature: this was dried red fruits, touch of licorice. But it was flat, and had this hollow irony aromatics. This odd unbalanced heat to the nose.
But man, when this was chilled, this became a wholly different wine.
On the nose: the dry red cherries and licorice remained. But came this nose of fresh roses and earth.
On the palate: this was lively, energetic, bright, and so much structure. This is 21 years old, but man, that tannin structure.
This was objectively a beautiful wine. But I find the price to be hard to justify. 4.2+/4.3 if we ignore the poor QPR.
