With Hart at Claudine for our first anniversary

There was some serious wine-math to this but we loved the wine. I wanted a chenin specifically given our plans for a foie gras terrine, and a meaty fish.

In the glass: bright gold. Surprisingly clear for an unfiltered wine.

On the nose: mild gentle reductive flintiness when nosed from the glass. This was much more intense and complex on the exhale: intense ripe yellow fruits, citrus, a ton of salinity, and a considerable more obvious flintiness. Almost floral, but super faint.

On the palate: yum. Tiny zip on the tip of the tongue. A mid++ intensity of orchard fruits on the palate, with an almost oily mid palate. And yet, this bright fresh acidity in perfect balance. Rich, intense, yet so freshly energetic.

I thought this was a very very delicious bottle.
